Commercialization Committee

Charter

To position ISCT as a critical global communication hub between therapeutic societies, regulatory policy makers, and institutional stem cell centers and industry for the advancement of clinical investigations in regenerative medicine.

Objectives and Priorities

  • To construct a Commercialization Committee with balanced representation of translational medicine stakeholders with a clear charter in support of ISCT strategic objectives
  • To establish a new Industry Community within ISCT to communicate and prioritize value relationships between industry and ISCT
  • To construct working subcommittees chartered to meet priority commercialization goals identified by industry and ISCT membership
  • To identify and create new relationships between industry, therapeutic societies and basic stem cell scientists using global multi-disciplinary workshops and forums

Key Benchmarks 2011

Produce Annual Report of CC Activities reflective of ISCT strategic plan and Industry engagement  for 2011 Annual Meeting

Ensure action oriented responsiveness to Industry Community agenda  -poll for a fresh list of priorities

June

Increase Global CC participation and benchmark industry participation at ISCT regional meetings by hosting an industry  session  or track  N America Q3 Asia Q4

Septemer, November

Refine CC organization and substructure to reflect growth of Industry Community and to maintain balance with academic translational community

September

Evaluate and launch on line forum which offers increased access to KOLs

September

Strengthen CC relationship with ISCT leadership measured  by  CC participation in  global and regional executive committees and  in the  scientific cell and therapeutic committees.

December

Represent to the ISCT Executive the CC’s priority list of working alliances with Cell Processing and Regenerative Medicine societies  (Q2 )with a commitment to support leadership in alliance development. Measure progress against list Q4

June, December

Foster new industry community membership  with a focus on  the following segments; CROs, financial community & analysts, bioprocessors and bioreactor companies.
