Continuing Medical Education 
This activity is jointly sponsored by the International Society for Cellular Therapy and Medical Education Collaborative (MEC). MEC is a non-profit organization that has been certifying quality educational activities since 1988.
Purpose Statement
The purpose of the ISCT Annual Meeting is to increase the knowledge of physicians, researchers and lab technicians on research in the various aspects and applications of clinical apheresis in both the donor and patient settings.
Target Audience
The intended audience of the ISCT Annual Meeting is researchers, laboratory professionals, physicians, regulatory specialists, business leaders, investments professionals, business colleagues, and other suppliers all working or interested in various types of cellular therapy research.
Learning Objectives
Define the current status of regenerative medicine in the disease areas diabetes, cardiology, neural disease and cancer.
Name the ongoing clinical trials in the disease areas of diabetes, cardiology, neural disease and cancer.
Clarify the problems and issues related to moving basic research findings into clinical treatments in the areas of diabetes, cardiology, neural disease and cancer.
Describe the current status of immunotherapy for treatment of cancer.
Explain the current status of immune rejection in cell therapy applications.
Discuss the latest scientific, clinical, technological, and regulatory developments relating to Cell Therapy.
Accreditation Statement
ACCME
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of Medical Education Collaborative, Inc. (MEC) and ISCT. The Medical Education Collaborative is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Medical Education Collaborativedesignates this educational activity for a maximum of 12.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. CMLE
This continuing medical laboratory education activity is recognized by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) as meeting the criteria for 27 hours of CMLE credit. ASCP CMLE credit hours are acceptable to meet the continuing education requirement for the ASCP Board of Registry Certification Maintenance Program.
Instructions for Credit
Continuing education credits are offered for Technical Breakfasts 1-4, 6-10, 13, Workshops 3-10, 12-16 as well as Plenary Sessions 1-5. We regret that it is not possible to provide credit for abstract sessions, the pre-conference workshop, the post-conference workshop, the Presidential Plenary Session, or any of the Technical Breakfasts and Workshops not listed in the previous sentence.
In order to receive credit for this activity, participants must read through the target audience, purpose statement, learning objectives, accreditation statement, faculty disclosure summaries, instructions for credit, commercial support information and attend at least one live session from this meeting. Once completed with the live session participants must fill out the evaluation form and credit application available at the meeting registration desk no later than 1 month after this activity. Certificates will be mailed within 6-8 weeks of the program from Medical Education Collaborative.
