The release testing working group idea was delegated to the Cell and Tissue Evaluation Committee. Following the 2003 Somatic Cell Therapy Symposium, the primary release testing initiatives were being led by E. J. Read and Gary DuMoulin. Their efforts were coordinated into a paper but no subsequent work in developing a working group or product has been developed since.
History: ISCT is currently working with the FDA CBER Office of Cells, Tissue, and Gene Therapies and interested stakeholder organizations and individuals to form a
Working Group on Release Testing.
